Departing from our hotel at 8:00 AM, we aim to reach Gjirokastër Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, by 10:30 AM. Here, we’ll explore the commanding fortress and admire the city’s traditional houses, adorned with classic wooden facades. Following the descent on the castle’s ancient cobblestone path, we’ll immerse ourselves in the local culture at the Gjirokastër Old Bazaar. As we meander through the market’s stalls and shops, we’ll have the opportunity to purchase distinctive keepsakes. For lunch, we’ll indulge in authentic local cuisine and savor a Turkish coffee. Post-lunch, our journey continues to the Skenduli House, an exemplary piece of Ottoman architecture that offers insights into the historical way of life in Gjirokastër. Our return is scheduled for 6:00 PM, with an expected arrival time of 9:30 PM.

Setting off at 8:00 AM, we embark on a journey to Prizren and Gjakova, immersing ourselves in a day rich with historical and cultural discoveries. In Prizren, our itinerary includes the majestic Kalaja Fortress, the exquisite Sinan Pasha Mosque, and the Our Lady of Ljevis church—a UNESCO World Heritage Site nestled within a picturesque old town brimming with historical mosques and churches from the 14th century. We venture to Gjakova, which greets us with a distinct charm and a wealth of cultural treasures. Here, we’ll wander through the Old Bazaar, Çarshia e Madhe, one of the Balkans’ most ancient marketplaces, and visit the venerable Hadum Mosque. A culinary delight awaits as we dine in a traditional restaurant set amidst Gjakova’s historic quarter. Our exploration also leads us to the Monastery of Deçan, a 14th-century UNESCO World Heritage site, before we commence our return journey. We anticipate arriving back in Tirana approximately at 21:30. Please be aware that a border crossing is required, and you will need to carry either a passport or an ID card.

Apollonia, Vlora and national Park of Llogara

Our journey commences at 8:00 AM, and by 10:30 AM, we initiate our exploration of the Apollonia Archaeological Park, established in 7 AD. Here, we delve into the epoch of Julius Caesar and Emperor Augustus. We’ll uncover the mysteries of ancient Greco-Roman temples and Illyrian ruins, all while savoring the sweeping vistas of the Adriatic Sea. After a 40-minute journey, we’ll reach Vlora, the cradle of Albanian Independence. You’ll have the opportunity to leisurely stroll along the Ionian coast. Continuing for another 40 minutes, we’ll make our way to the Llogara National Park. Nestled amidst the park’s rich biodiversity, and by the stunning perspectives of the Ionian Sea and the lush valleys beneath. A traditional lunch awaits us at a restaurant perched atop the pass, 1050 meters above sea level. Our return drive commences at 17:30, with an estimated arrival time of around 19:30
